The recent death of one of our students has impacted the ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥ deeply. We know there are many members in our community who are grieving and may be struggling with different challenges.  We wish to connect our students, families, and community with tools and support.

The Student Services Department is available to work with any individuals who may need assistance in receiving services or navigating resources related to coping with grief and/or anxiety.

In addition, below you will find a list of a few community organizations that have worked with our schools and who are also available to provide inclusive mental health services, leadership programs, and additional services to support individuals and families in our community. 

AMI-Quebec

AMI-Quebec helps families manage the effects of mental illness through support, education, guidance, and advocacy. Programs are free and include support groups, workshops, counselling, resource lists, online learning modules and more.

Black Community Resource Centre (BCRC)

The BCRC is a growing resource-based organization that strengthens community capacity by providing professional support to organizations and individuals in need.  The Centre is committed to helping visible minority youth rekindle their dreams and achieve their full potential.

Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi

Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi is dedicated to helping youth in their employment, education, or entrepreneurial projects. There are offices across Montreal that provide activities and free services for young adults aged 16-35, that live – permanently or temporarily – in the corresponding area. Youth services include specialized projects, educational and career development, personal and social autonomy, financial education, and perseverance in school.

Cote Des Neiges Black Community Association (CDNBCA)

DESTA Black Youth Network

DESTA was founded in 2006 with a mandate to focus on the employability needs of Black youth in Little Burgundy.  An integrated strategy was adopted to address both systemic and personal barriers to employment, such as justice involvement, housing, and lack of resources.

Jeunes en Tête

The mission of the Fondation Jeunes en Tête is to prevent psychological distress in young people aged 11 to 18 in Quebec. They accomplish this mission by providing teens, their parents and school staff with online tools and awareness workshops in schools. Destigmatize, raise awareness, and empower is what they do every day to help the next generations face the life’s challenges.

Kids Help Phone

Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7, national support service. We offer professional counselling, information and referrals and volunteer-led, text-based support to young people in both English and French.

REISA

REISA is a community organization that works to increase access to health and social services in English for residents of Montreal’s east-end, through collaboration with public, private and community stakeholders. Youth programs focus on employability and mental health.
